Barbatus
Seeing vultures circling has always been a bad omen for travelers. It was a sign of danger where the truly superstitious would seek other routes or cancel their journey altogether.
Travelers were safer when Barbatus traveled with them. Since those times, many Barbatus have taken up the call to be protectors by being scouts and guides to those who fear the roads.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Barbatus have a very large wingspan, the largest of the aves species. Their heads take on their animalistic side, resembling that of a vulture. The skin on their limbs is covered in scales but their hands, while humanoid in appearance, have scales. Like all Aves sub-species, Barbatus’s legs are digitigrade, in that they walk on their three-toed talons.
Additional Information
