Strom

Massive sentient trees that were created by the Fey—specifically Fairies—that use them as their cities. The fairies created smaller versions of the Strom called Busks. Busks were created to help maintain the Strom as many of the pieces of a Strom are large and bulky, making it hard on the fairies.

A Strom comprises many other smaller trees to look like one massive tree. The smaller trees are merged using Gaia's energy. Because of the combination of trees, a Strom doesn’t have a central nervous system or brain. Its entire body is made up of connected nodes that function like smaller nervous systems. The fairies have each section of the Strom separated based on the focus of each node. Breaking off one node does not hinder the Strom’s function.

When the fairies create a new Strom, they take a node from a previous Strom. Separating the node, they connect it with new nodes created from Busks and other trees. However, this is a long process taking decades to complete.
