These mutations are specific to the gnome species, which comprise the Gora, Myri, and Ramhar sub-species.

Gnomes have a unique connection to steam. They have the innate ability to create steam from the pores in their hands.

Using two actions, you can shoot a 10ft. cone of steam out of your hand. It deals 1d6 plus vitality in damage and requires a reaction check to avoid its area of effect. The difficulty rating is eight plus your vitality. At level two, four, and six, the damage increases by an additional damage die.

Refilling steam canisters is possible with tech mechanic mastery, following the standard rules. See technology in the marketplace chapter for more information.

Slippery Stick

You can create either a slippery or sticky film on your body that grants you special abilities.

When slippery, you can slide around the ground, gaining an increase in movement by +10ft and lucky rolls to break free from grapples.

When Sticky, you gain lucky rolls when grappling targets and being disarmed. While sticky, you can climb on walls/ceilings as part of your movement, but must be attached to the wall with at least three limbs.

It costs two essence and two actions to activate the ability and one essence, and a free action to change between slick and sticky. The duration lasts for up to one hour or until you end the ability, whichever comes first.
