Construct Mutations

These mutations are specific to the construct species, that comprise the Bionix sub-species.

Accelerated Recharge

Requirements
Construct Species
Price
3 talents (CC)

Instead of a typical Bionix recharge state, you can speed up your recharge state, giving you the benefits of a full rest when taking a four-hour breather. However, while in this state, you are unaware of your surroundings. If you take any amount of damage, your recharge state is interrupted, and you take 3d10 plus your vitality in damage. The sudden jolt causes this damage, knocking you out of your recharge state, which causes energy to overload your heart.

Armored Skin

Requirements
Construct Species
Price
3 talents (CC)

You have enhanced your metal skin to have damage resistance based on your statistic used for defense (i.e. guard). When taking damage from a non-magical attack, you can subtract half your statistic from the damage before applying it to your health. At level five, the damage reduction increases to equal your statistic. This ability does not stack with armor or other mutations.

The damage reduction is considered grade zero for armor penetration and cannot be upgraded.

Empty Stomach

Requirements
Construct species
Price
3 talents (CC)

You do not require food for nourishment. Instead, your sleep cycle recharges you with nutrients, which makes starvation have no effect on you. When sleeping during a full rest, you reduce your fatigue by -2 instead of the normal reduced fatigue gained from food and sleep.

Metallic Skin

Rank 1
Requirements
Construct Species
Price

You discovered a way to protect the joints and exposed areas of your skin, granting you resistance to poison effects and damage.

Rank 2
Requirements
Vitality 8
Price
3 talents

You are immune to poison, except if consumed.
