Azkad Umraz
The Azkad Umraz is a secret organization on the same level as thieves, guilds, and the like. However, instead of taking from others, they gather information and help the common folk when trouble arises. While they are not vigilantes or crime fighters, helping individuals, they tend to be the ones in the background, keeping things running when no one is the wiser.
Their missions are performed grander, such as keeping an empire from crumbling or helping remove an obviously corrupt ruler. They are the ones you least expect and have eyes and ears everywhere.
The Founder
The Azkad Umraz was started by Servantius Wench, a Karak channeler who saved a group of brothel workers whose boss was killed right in front of them. Their situation was not a typical brothel in that they supported each other, and their boss was kind and wanted the best for them. They did what they did because they had no choice but to survive. Servantius was present when their boss died and did what he thought was best. He took up the mantle as their new leader but used his family's resources to offer a better life.
The Wench family is known for its taverns and inns. It accepts people regardless of appearance, creed, or preferences. Some of their establishments offer services from gambling, brothels, musical performances, and more. Each establishment takes pride in ensuring its employees are cared for and not abused. Providing a safe place to work and stay. The Wench family uses energetics to achieve this, often making their establishments appear much more prominent inside than the outside.
The Wailing Wench
One specific location is famously known as the most energetic tavern to date. Known as The Wailing Wench, its energetic abilities rival the Essenergerium and Keep of Curses. It can relocate to where it is needed most in the blink of an eye and has been known to be in multiple locations simultaneously. Patrons have discussed being in Avac, while others say they were just in Mythlinde. Once they leave the Wailing Wench, they return to the city where they originated.
Most of The Wailing Wench's staff are trained in energetics and can double as bouncers if needed. The hosts are trained in psionics to better entertain and provide for patrons, allowing them to weed out troublemakers. If things ever get heated, members of the Azkad Umraz step in to handle any trouble.
