Statistic Descriptions

Agility (Ag)

This statistic represents your ability to be agile and dexterous, along with your ability to be quick on your feet and avoid danger. Agility can be associated with acrobatics, athletics forgery, intimidate, pilot, and sleight of hand skills.

Channeling (Ch)

Channeling is the statistic used to connect with energy in the world and use energetics. It is the statistic channelers’ focus on improving. Channeling involves skills such as Chrono, Elemental, Force, Gaia, Necrosis, Photonic, Psionic, and Transmutation.

Crafting (Cr)

Crafting is the statistic to create alchemical, apothecary, and other constructed items that do not use technology. Crafting can be associated with apothecary, automation, harvest, and smith skills.

Fighting (Fi)

Fighting is the statistic used to fight unarmed and wield melee weapons to attack. Fighting is connected to the following skills: Martial Arts, Off-Hand, One-Handed, Two-Handed.

Guard (Gu)

Guard is your statistic to defend yourself naturally. Whether you are unarmored or wearing armor, this statistic is your base for defense. Guard is connected to the following skills: Dodge, Heavy Armor, Light Armor, Shield, and Unarmored.

Mechanical (Ma)

You use this statistic with technology. Understanding steam-powered and clockwork technology is necessary to use and maintain it. Your mechanical statistic is your natural connection to this technology. Mechanical can be associated with automation, pilot, sleight of hand, and smith skills.

Mental (Me)

Mental is your statistic to think logically and reflects how naturally smart you are. It represents your mental stability and sanity. This statistic, along with channeling, determines your essence. Mental can be associated with forgery, hide, perception, pilot, and survival skills.

Might (Mi)

Might represents your physical strength. It determines how much weight you can carry along with the additional damage melee attacks deal. Might can be associated with acrobatics, athletics, and intimidate skills.

Persona (Pe)

Persona is the statistic used to socialize and present yourself appropriately in social situations. Persona is not just your ability to speak, but also the way you present yourself in public. It is your innate ability to understand the ways of other cultures to not insult them or step out of bounds. Persona can be associated with acting, animal empathy, barter, influence, intimidate, and intuition skills.

Thievery (Th)

This is your statistic to have nimble hands and be quiet on your feet. It is the statistic to assist you in being unseen and unheard. Thievery can be associated with automation, forgery, hide, and sleight of hand skills.

Vitality (Vi)

Vitality is one of the most important statistics as it represents your physical health and stamina; without vitality, you are dead. Vitality is only connected to the stamina instinct skill.

Statistic of Zero

If one of your statistics becomes zero, you cannot use anything associated with that statistic. Some statistics have harsher penalties when they reach zero compared to others. It also reduced all instincts associated with the statistic to zero.

Agility or Might

You cannot move as you have lost all motor function or strength in your body.

Channeling

You have completely cut your connection to energy and essence off. Anything requiring essence to activate (or life force if a blood channeler) does not work.

Mental

Your thoughts become mush as you become unable to think, concentrate, or keep any kind of memory to the point you forget to breathe. Your character becomes unplayable, as if they have “died” from loss of mental health.

Vitality

Plain and simply, if you have a zero in your vitality, you are dead, not dying, but dead.

Other Statistics

Zero stats result in no bonuses on rolls. It is possible to have negative rolls if the skill total is negative. You cannot chain these rolls.
