Spontaneously Combust
Pointing your conduit at a target that is within the range of the spell causes their internal temperature to increase. To keep the spell active, the channeler must remain within the indicated range of the target otherwise, the spell ends.
The target of this spell must make a stamina check every ten seconds (at the start of their turn) or take the indicated damage. While the damage is considered fire, it is internal and therefore cannot cause the burnt condition. If the duration of the spell is reached and the target’s health is below half, they must make one final stamina check. If they fail the check, their body explodes and creates a fifteen-foot area of effect with blood, bone, and other excrement.
Anyone who can visibly see the explosion (maximum 120ft.) takes mental damage based on their insanity stage (including the channeler). After the fourth time watching the effects of this spell, the mental health damage no longer applies.
If someone is within the area of effect must make a stamina check to resist vomiting for the next ten seconds. Excrement-covered individuals experience unlucky rolls for movement-based actions. A reaction check can be made to avoid the area of effect, but at a -2, unless they are aware of the spell’s effects ahead of time (or they know the spell).
