Melting Pot Empires
This part talks about empires with various cultures within their borders. People living in these empires must follow their laws and regulations.
When taking a melting pot culture, you have the option to either take another culture’s discipline or taking the listed discipline.
Melting Pot Language
Although each melting pot empire has a mixture of cultures within their borders, they have all adapted a single language as their native tongue. The native language listed in the melting pot empire replaces your chosen culture’s native. If the culture’s native language is replaced, it moves to the secondary language list and can be selected as a secondary language.
Atsui Empire
The Empire Born From War
Economy
The Atsui empire does not have any products for trade because of their geographical location. Therefore, using the skills they developed during their founding, they trade the one thing they are the best at producing, Soldiers. The Atsui Iziredimi are known for being the most highly trained and deadly fighting force in the world.
History
The Atsui Empire was founded during the Empire Wars (also known as the Great War) in 998GE. Unlike many other Empires of the world, Atsui wasn’t a kingdom fighting for their independence from the mighty Grimslarian Empire. They were instead a group of military forces tired of the tyrannical rule of the Ty’Les kingdom—now known as the Ty’Les Empire. The leader of this deserter military was Kirian Atsui. While Kirian never sat on the imperial throne as emperor, the people he saved named their empire in honor of him.
During the war, The Atsui regime became the deadliest soldiers the world had seen. When they entered battle, they showed no fear, killed without mercy, and ensured they left behind no soldier or civilian. They would sacrifice themselves for be better of their regime if it meant their people survived.
They became known as the Wardens, protectors of the people because of their constant guardianship over all common folk. Regardless of your cultural up brining if you were in need they would help. They would welcome you with open arms and provide for you a safe place away from the war. This place became known as the Atsui Refuge, later to become the Land of Atsui, and finally the Atsui Empire.
Although Kirian Atsui died during the Battle for the Boda, the Wardens honor him by saving lives in his name. The first emperor changed the official name of their empire to the Atsui Empire in his honor. He was crowned the honorary emperor of Atsui after his death in 999GE.
Kirian Atsui lived on through his wife, son, and two daughters who all served as heads of the Wardens. Mina Atsui, Kirian Jr. Atsui, Saria Atsui, and Hetis Atsui.
Warden’s Hidden Past
The history of wardens is taught to all new initiates to instill in them the strong grounded culture of the Atsui people. Wardens are linked to mentally disturbed creatures called Metal Owners, known to only a few high-level members. Wardens have been taught to hunt them down and end their suffering out of acts of kindness. That they are to burn their remains on a funeral pyre to honor their corrupted brethren.

People of Atsui speak Latlish because their ancestors from Ty'Les spoke it.
Laws & Regulations
Atsui Slavery
In the Atsui Empire, they treat slaves more like servants than slaves. While they still use a physical object as a slave brand, it is not permanent or body altering. A thick chain of iron wrapped around their body. They hang the chain from the slave's neck, run it down under the armpit, and clasp and lock it at the slave's lower back.
Atsui slaves get paid more and don't have to pay for medical expenses. Once the slave pays off their debt, they get a small stipend based on their work and treatment. Once freed, they are a citizen of the Atsui Empire and are free to live and work as they please. It is common for freed slaves to remain in service of their former masters as servants with increased wages and freedoms they didn’t have previously.
Slave Rights
Slaves of Atsui are considered the lowest social status anyone has. This, however, does not mean they do not have rights. A slave master cannot punish their slave in public and draw blood during the punishment as it is illegal. Slaves must have a minimum of eight hours a week of free time. During this time, they are subject to their masteries rules where they can go and what they can do. Regardless of their master's rules, slaves must not be confined during this free time unless they are being punished. It is typical for masters to allow their slaves freedom to venture into the city for leisure and play if they return on time without having caused any trouble.
Atsui law enforcement tends to not have problems with slaves and bounty hunters rarely must hunt down runaways.
Ty’Les Empire
Neutral Empire to All
Most of Ty'Les' kingdoms follow Grimslarian culture, but other cultures thrive there too.
Economy
Ty’Les is the producers of the most fashionable clothing and largest production of textiles. Ellaria is their main supplier for spider thread, otherwise they produce their own grades of cloth.
History
Ty’Les was one of the first kingdoms to revolt against the Empire of Grimslar. This, however, also meant they were the kingdom on the front line the most. Their efforts to succeed started around the year 985GE, long before the war officially began. Ty’Les released their remaining troops to return home after suffering heavy losses during the war.
It wasn’t until 1245DE that Ty’Les hired the Atsui Iziredimi to aid the Grimslarian Empire during the Ba Conflict. Since then, they have kept them on retainer to help keep peace within the empire.
Ty’Les Neutrality
Ty'Les is a neutral empire that depends on treaties and pacts with nearby empires for protection instead of having its own military. Because of the wealth from their textile trade, Ty’Les has hired the best military army the world has ever seen, the Atsui Iziredimi. A fighting force they once faced during the Great War but now rely on for protection.
Original Wardens
The Ty’Les government tried to create the original wardens by using energized metal spikes and driving them into subjects to empower them. Ty'Les attempted to create their own army instead of relying on their allies for diplomacy. This attempt horribly failed as the wardens did not agree with the methods as it made the subjects go mad from pain and suffering. This was one of the major reasons the wardens rebelled and broke away from Ty’Les.
Language
Native
Latlish
The people on Ty’Les have always spoken Latlish since anyone can remember. It was the spoken language back when Ty’Les was a kingdom under the Grimslarian Empire. Even before that, when the Ty’Les kingdom was yet to be established, the people of the region spoke Latlish.
Laws & Regulations
Although Ty'Les has harsh slave regulations, it's also known for having the most profitable slave trade.
Religion
The largest religious following in the Empire of Ty’Les is the Gra’Vatians who worship Gra’Vat, the god of force. Every three months, a celebration known as the Morefu Saumi (Freed Souls) is held to honor Gra’Vat.
Morefu Saumi involves creating balloons that the priests send into the sky using their connection to force energy. A festival with lots of food, drink, and merchant stalls is held during the day. At dusk, the freeing of the souls (releasing the balloons) is performed along with a long moment of silence to honor the dead.
Social
Ty'Les's politicians are famous for being persuasive and powerful. Therefore, they could unite the empires after the Great War with no military. This is also why they do not have their own military and hire Atsui mercenaries to protect their borders.
The Ty’Les political world is the hardest to get a footing in because of the cutthroat competition surrounding it.
