Clothing
Clothing comes in many types of materials and quality of craftsmanship. The very basic level—which is that of a commoner—wood is used. The more expensive and exquisite material such as silk and spider thread are commonplace for aristocrats and nobles to own.
Clothing accessories are items of clothing that aren’t a necessity to own but are helpful depending on the weather and the environment.
Accessories
Apron
A piece of material that is hung from the neck and tied around the waist. It typically is knee length and protects clothing when performing tasks that might cause a mess.
Cloak
A type of loose garment that is worn over indoor clothing and protects the wearer from the cold, rain or wind. It also may form part of a fashionable outfit or uniform. All cloaks have optional hood at no extra cost.
Gloves
Garments that come in pairs and are worn on the hands to protect them from weather. They are also commonly used in fashionable outfits or uniforms.
Goggles
Protective eyewear shields the eye area from debris, water, or particulates. Goggles prevent vision restrictions due to weather and other visual effects.
Hat
Garments that are worn on top of the head to protect from weather or to be part of a fashionable outfit.
Hood
A simple loose garment that is tied around the neck and loosely laid over the head. It is typically used to protect the head from weather but can also try to hide one’s identity.
Long Coat
An ankle length jacket made from thick material. These coats are more luxurious and be worn by aristocrats or adventurers who want a flair of style in their wardrobe. Because of the thickness of leather long coats, they offer a +1 damage reduction and can be worn with some armor types. See the specific armor descriptions for which armors can be worn under a long coat. Long coats, like cloaks, provide cover from weather such as rain, snow, and wind.
When upgrading a long coat, the requirements for using it is connected to your highest defense skill. So, if you have a paragon long coat to gain nine damage reduction, you have to have your defense still at a sixteen.
Mask
A piece of material that is worn over the face. It is typically used to hide one’s identity or, during a masquerade, as part of an outfit.
Wraps
Strips of material that are used to cover small areas of the body. Commonly seen in societies that wear less clothing but still wish to cover their more sensitive areas. Known to be worn on the head as a turban or around the waist as a loincloth.
Basic Outfit
An outfit is a quick way to purchase sets of clothing if you don’t want to pick each item out. Included in the outfit is the following basic quality clothing: a belt, cloak, hat or hood, tunic, trousers or dress, and boots or shoes.
