AGE Vessels

AGE Crystals technology allows us to sail in the sky. In honor of the mysterious yet wonderful crystal that grants the ship’s flight, ships that fly have been given the name AGE Vessels.

AGE Vessels are not designed for passenger transport, only for cargo\. The reason for this is that of the technology being in its infancy and the cost of using them for transport is still high. Therefore, purchasing their own AGE Vessel (especially through trade agreements and partners) is a cheaper option for nobles than constantly paying for passage. Rich people often form or join trade organizations to buy ships together for trade and investments. Only the extremely wealthy can purchase their own vessel outright.

However, it is possible to find a captain who will free up a small amount of space or possibly the first mate’s quarters for the right price.

AGE Vessel Passenger Pricing

If choosing to barter passage on an AGE Vessel, you must make a barter check versus the captains (or first mates if they deal with the finances). The price listed is the base starting price that will either increase or decrease based on the barter results. The difference between the totals is the percent of the price changes. If the captain’s roll is higher than your roll, the price increases and vice versa. For example, if you roll a ten for your barter and the captain rolls a fifteen, you will pay five percent more on top of the base price to ride along. Regardless of the final price, the AGE Vessel does not make detours for passengers. They have their set trade routes and you must find a vessel who is going in the correct direction for your needs.
