The lands known as Samisami are an unexplored landmass south of Tsuru Nisumari. The reason it has been left unexplored is the fear that explorers will never be heard from again. Many have the drive and hunger to be the first to explore the island, but most cannot get the funding for such a journey.

The appeal of exploring Samisami stems from the landscape. It is the only place in all of Nisumari where everything appears to be massive. Trees that are at least five times as large as the known species of the world. Foliage that, from the ocean’s view, appears to be so dense it would require special equipment to move through. The mountains peaking out of the thick forests appear larger than any other on Nisumari. The wanderlust to explore Samisami is not purely about wanting fame, but also about simple curiosity: wanting to know how and why.
